Rules and Guidelines of Our Service
Please read these rules carefully before creating your campaign. We try to be fair to both advertisers and bloggers. If you choose to ignore these rules, it will not be fair on the bloggers who have worked for their money if you dispute a post which is within our rules.
1. Smorty no longer accept campaigns relating to online gambling sites.
2. A Smorty administrator may approve or decline your account and/or ad campaign for any reason. It is the sole discretion of the administrator. If an advertising campaign request is rejected, the advertiser will have a chance to correct the fault and/or be refunded.
3. Please read the following dispute rules before creating your advertiser campaign to see what you may dispute posts for. You have 5 days to dispute a post on those reasons alone. If you are unhappy with a post and do not dispute it, that blogger will be paid, if you do dispute a post then you have a chance for the post to be fixed or sent to a new blogger. There are no refunds once your campaign was set to live, the campaign can only be fixed by bloggers.
You CAN dispute a post if;
- The Page rank of the home page is not what you have paid for. - The post is not in English. - The post has excessive spelling and/or grammatical errors. (having said that, please understand these are not professional writers, please give them a little grace) - The post makes no sense. - The post is not related to your website, products, or service. - The page cannot be found. - The post gives incorrect information relating to your products or services. - There are links to other domains than yours. - There is an excessive use of links to your site. i.e. more than 3 - There are pop up ads. - The post is listed under a "sponsored" category, or a category related to paid posts, including "Smorty". - The link has a no follow tag. - The link does not work. - The anchor text is not part of a sentence. - The post is less than 150 words. - The post has duplicate content. - The post is not accessible from the home page. - The post or site has pornographic or hate content or extreme use of bad language.
You CANNOT dispute a post if;
- The post was written in a blog unrelated to your category (The post it's self must be related though). Categorized blogs will be available in the near future, stay tuned... - You didn't like the general content of the blog (excluding pornographic, hate content or bad language) - The blogger has only used 1 link to your site.
4. An advertiser cannot create their own rules in the description area and dispute a post if these are not followed. You can, however, make recommendations for the bloggers to follow.
5. Advertisers should bid at the recommended values based on the minimum page rank of blogs your campaign will be distributed to, there is no maximum bid. If you bid a higher amount per post you are more likely to be offered and accepted by higher ranked blogs, generally resulting in better search engine rankings for your site.
6. Smorty administrators review and approve/decline all ad campaigns. Decisions are made solely by Smorty administrators based on our terms and conditions.
7. All blog posts / blog advertisements are intended to be permanent on all blogs. Smorty have a unique system checking if a post is removed, if this post has been removed then we deduct that payment from future payments for that blogger. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee all posts remain permanently. Circumstances beyond Smorty’s control may arise where a blog is deleted, entry is lost, etc. Smorty administrators do their best to accurately determine whether a blog is permanent with good content. We do not approve blogs with little content or that have not been indexed by search engines. Bloggers must meet tight guidelines to be approved and paid.
8. A page rank of a blog is taken from the home page URL. The reason for this is because a new post generates it's own page and will given it's own page rank over time, this is often fed from the home page's PR. For example. If the home page has a PR of 5 then the new posts page may be given PR4 in a few months time. This is why a higher PR is more valuable. It's impossible for Smorty to deliver posts to 10,000 bloggers and expect them all to place ads on their home page or a page with existing page rank. An advertiser may only dispute a post if the PR requested does not match the home page PR of the blog.
9. The domain URL bloggers are linking to for your campaign must not redirect to another URL. A redirected domain will not be affected by search engines.
10. A Smorty administrator may terminate an advertisers account at any time. It is the sole discretion of Smorty. You will be refunded the remaining campaign funds.
11. At least 1 URL with at least 1 keyword is required for each blog advertising campaign. The advertiser should include their title and description to help bloggers write their opinion.
12. Bloggers may make both positive and negative comments on advertisers websites and services. Integrity of the service is maintained by both allowing the blogger freedom to comment as they wish and the advertiser to dispute a post within 5 days of being written if they feel it is unsuitable to their site or service, Smorty administrators review each dispute before finalising it. If a disputed post is found to be suitable then it is approved by Smorty administrators. Any declined posts will be resent to another blog to create a new post.
13. No pornographic/adult oriented advertising is permitted on Smorty at this time, due to PayPal rules regarding adult content.
